Your data, protected

To answer you, the assistant needs to look up your studio's data. Here's exactly what goes out and what doesn't.

  • Only what's essential

    The AI model only receives what it needs to answer each question. Ask who hasn't paid and it gets anonymous IDs and the amounts owed; only you see the real names.

  • Sensitive data is filtered first

    Before anything is sent we strip out sensitive data: phone numbers, ID numbers and IBANs never go out, and emails are masked.

  • Not stored, not used for training

    We work with AI providers that have data retention turned off: they don't store your data or use it to train models.

  • Nothing runs without you

    The assistant can prepare actions, but none of them runs until you confirm.

It's a side panel inside the Bonsai web app (the “✨ AI Assistant” button or the ⌘J shortcut). Ask about your studio in your own words and it answers with your real data: classes, bookings, memberships, payments, events or clients. Ask it to, and it also prepares actions for you to confirm.
No. Every action (booking someone, assigning a membership, cancelling bookings, taking attendance…) appears on a card with a Confirm button. Nothing changes until you press it.
It doesn't make one up. If it isn't sure, it offers to send your question to the Bonsai support team in one click. The answer reaches you by email and in the assistant panel itself.
Only what it needs to answer each question: for “who hasn't paid?” it gets the names and the amounts owed. Before sending anything we filter out sensitive data: phone numbers, ID numbers and IBANs never go out, and emails are masked (ma***@gm***.com). Our AI providers have data retention turned off, so they don't store the data or use it to train models.
It depends on your plan: 5 a month on Free, 50 on Starter and 200 on Pro. The allowance is per studio and your whole team shares it. Questions don't count when the Bonsai team logs in to help you.
Yes. Your whole team can use it and they share the studio's allowance. For example, an instructor can ask “How many classes do I have this week?” and get their own.
